Tacos with Guacamole

(my own recipe)
Serves 4-5

Ingredients:
  • 15 taco rectangular shells
  • 1 kg minced beef
  • 1 (400gr) canned tomato
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 big red bell pepper
  • 2  medium onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 bag original taco spice mix
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp oil for frying
  • salt and pepper
Guacamole:
  • 3 avocados
  • 1 small onion
  • 2-3  garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • salt and pepper
Garnish:
  • lettuce
  • plum or cherry tomatoes
Step One
Clean and finely chop the onions, the garlic cloves and the bell pepper. Put the oil in the frying pan. When the oil is hot, put first the onion fry it until it gets translucent. Add the garlic and the bell pepper fry them for 1-2 min (be careful to not burn the onion). Then add the minced beef  and split it with a fork. Let it fry until the beef gets brown and add the tomato and the spices. Finally, let them  simmer for 10-15 min.

Step Two
Cut the avocados, put them in a  bowl and blend them. Crush the garlic, finely chop the onion and add them to the bowl, mixing them with a fork. Finally, add the lime juice, the salt and the pepper. If you don't serve at once, put clean foil over the bowl and keep in the fridge (to prevent it's color to change).

Step Three
Warm the taco shells in the oven for 5-10 min. To add the filling, place the lettuce leaf on each of the shells, add the beef sauce, a tablespoon of guacamole on top and a slice of tomato. Serve while they are still warm.
