(Recipe from Easy Food magazine)
Serves 6
Ingredients:
- 120 ml hoisin sauce
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp corn flour
- 1, 8 kg chicken drumsticks or thighs
To serve
- with homemade chips or wedges.......... I ate them with rice, grated carrot and some sliced spring onion.
Step One
Preheat the oven to 200℃/ 180℃ fan/ gas mark 6. Line two large baking trays with tin foil.
Step Two
In a large bowl, combine the hoisin sauce, brown sugar, and soy sauce. Reserve two tablespoons of the sauce for glazing the chicken pieces and set aside.
Step Three
Stir the flour into the remaining sauce. Add the chicken pieces and stir until they are all coated(I left them in the fridge overnight).
Step Four
Arrange the chicken pieces on the prepared baking trays and bake for 25-30 minutes or until thoroughly cooked, Swapping the trays halfway through.
Step Five
Remove from the oven and baste with the remaining glaze Serve with homemade chips or wedges.
