Pork with Vegetables Stew


(my own recipe made on the spot)



Serves 4
Ingredients:
  • 500 gr pork meat
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 can peas
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 celery
  • 2 garlic
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp dill
  • 2 bay leaves 
  • 4 tbsp oil
Step One
 In a casserole warm 4 tbsp of oil and fry the meat until light brown. Add 1 cup water and let it simmer until the water evaporates completely. (when you can see just the oil)
Step Two
 Cut the onion, pepper, carrot, celery and garlic. Add them to the casserole with the following order: first add the onion, mix and let it fry for 1-2 min. Afterwards, add the pepper, carrot and celery and let them simmer for 20 min. Add the can of peas, paprika, dill, bay leaves and let it simmer for 5 more min. If the peas are not boiled (it mainly depends of the type of peas you bought) or they are too soft just adjust the time to cook. Do NOT let the bay leaves more then 5-10 min max as they will add a bitter taste to the food.
