Mini Croissant

"Cornulete cu rahat" Turkish delight croissants, the sweet brings back so many memories.
It's an easy and fast recipe, perfect to make it with your kids, like I was with my mom.
 (from a Romanian cooking book)

Ingredients:

  • 370 gr flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 65 gr  vegetable oil
  • 125 gr powder sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp baking powder
  • Turkish delight or jam
Step One
Mix all the powders in a large bowl. Make a well in the middle and add the oil and eggs there. Mix well until the dough is not sticky to the bowl.

Step Two
Cut the Turkish delight in rectangles and dust them with powder sugar, so they will not stick to each other.

Afterwards, dust the table with flour and put half of the dough. Roll it with the rolling pin really thin, around 2-3 mm. Cut the rolled dough with a knife in 5 cm squares, afterwards cut each square in the middle making a two triangles.

For each square, put a piece of Turkish delight on one corner and roll it in a croissant shape.

Step Three
Cook them on baking paper at 200 ºC for 15 min. take them out in a bowl and toss them in the icing/powder sugar.

ENJOY!!!!
