Chiftele (different Mini burgers)




Another recipe that I grow up with. I remember the times I was with my mom in the kitchen making this small meatballs, while my mom was frying them. Best time of my life :)

Makes 30 pieces

Ingredients:

  • 500 gr minced beef or pork 
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 potatoes
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 onion 
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp dried dill
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 3 tbsp dried bread crumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • oil to fry, if you don't have an electric grill
Step One

 Wash and clean all the vegetables.



 Blend the potatoes, the onion, the garlic and bell pepper and place the mix in a sieve for 30 min to lose all the liquid. Even better, if you have a mincer, you could use that. Afterwards add the eggs, bread crumbs, herbs, salt and pepper and mix well.




Step Two

 Take a tbsp full of the mixture and with your hands shape it as a burger. Then either cook it on an electric grill or fry it until it gets a golden brown, but not too dark, color. 



Serve with mash potatoes and a nice sauce.
