Pan-fried Chiken Livers

My sister's favorite dish.
This is for you sis :)
(my own recipe)

Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 500 gr chicken liver
  • 4 sp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 250 gr chicken stock
  • salt
  • pepper
  • (optionally) 1/2 tsp chili powder and 1/2 tsp cumin

Garnish

  • mash potatoes or rice

Step One
Clean well the chicken livers (if it's needed) and keep them in cold water for 1 hour. Drain and dry the livers as much as possible.

Step Two
Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the livers, the salt and the pepper. Fry on all sides until the livers are getting a little brown. Cut the garlic cloves in small cubes and add it to the pan with all the rest spices. Continue frying for for another 1-2 mins (careful to not burn it). Finally,  add the chicken stock and let it simmer on high heat for 5-10 mins.

Step Three
Put the garnish of your choice near the chicken livers on a warm plate. Garnish the plate with the remaining sauce from the pan. Serve immediately while it is still warm.
